Q. What is the difference between a TV I would buy from a Big Box Store verses buying one from Image Tech
Design?
A. Image Tech Design takes pride in all our products we install and sell. The main difference is the customer support and
installation quality. The other advantage is that every TV we sell and install we perform a basic video calibration to make sure the
viewer is seeing the TV at its best picture quality. Additional higher level ISF calibration is available upon request.
Q. Star Ceilings Questions:
- How long does it take to have a Star ceiling installed?
- Answer: depending on size a typical Star Ceiling can be installed in 1-2 days
- Star Ceilings, can it be installed in any room?
- Answer: Yes
- Can you do star constellations?
- Answer: Yes, although there are additional costs involved
- What colors?
- Answer: Red, Green, Blue, Purple, orange, and white are the typical colors. These can be set to alternate or you can pick just one.
Q. What is shade control?
A. As the name suggests control of shades whether that be window, sky light or awning. This can be as simple as an IR (infer red)
controller or as automated as an astronomical clock set be a home control system.
Q. What is distributed audio/video?
A. Distributed audio and video (also known as whole house audio video) is, as the name suggests, a means of distributing audio
and video though out a home usually with a single location that will house all the sources. Technology to do this has been around
for quite some time; it has been only recently that consumers can have the magnitude of options and control that is available now.
Today, we can distribute your entire CD collection, Internet radio, iPod, DVD or BluRay collection and most any source you can
think of to any room in your house that has a pair of speakers (audio) or TV (video). With today switchers, amplifiers and control
systems, this audio or video can be controlled with a keypad, remote control, Iphone, Ipad and other ways
Q. What is home automation and control?
A: For some it may be something as simple as remote or automatic control of a few lights. For others, security may be the central
application. Still others may choose to install advanced controllers or use voice recognition. As a very basic definition, we tend
to refer to home automation as anything that gives you remote or automatic control of things around the home.
Q. What does it mean when you say Calibrate my HDTV?
A. When a manufacturer sends the televisions out to a retailer, they want their TV’s to POP Out from their competitors
in color and brightness. This is not what the director of the program had intended for his audience to see. When we
calibrate your TV we are adjusting the contrast, brightness, color gambit and sharpness in order to recreate what the
director of the program intended you to see.
Q. When I buy a TV from a large discount store aren’t they Calibrated?
A. NO, unlike Image Tech Design where every TV we sell is calibrated at no extra cost to you. At a retail store you could have it
calibrated but it normally is at an extra charge.
Q. I would like to update my home but I don’t think I want to approach it all at once. Can I purchase one system or package and add to it until I get my final goal.
A. Yes, Image Tech Design will work with YOU and YOUR goals to accomplish what you want or need within YOUR budget and on
your schedule.
Q. Your systems sound very complicated, but nice to have. What is your response time on Service Calls?
A. We have a maximum response time of 24 hours; typically we can respond and resolve the issue before the 24 hours.
Q. What is a good wireless system that could connect all my rooms?
A. Sonos Mutli-Room Music System
1. Sonos uses a mess network and you homes WIFI to communicate and can be easily expanded.2. Sonos also allows you to control a single room or several rooms at one time.
3. Sonos is primarily an internet radio device and works exceptionally well for what it is design for.
